Inspired through my Great Grandmother's "picture-books," known as scrapbooks today, I found and fell in love with Photography. This was back in 1995 where I started out using a simple point and shoot known as the Kodak 110 box camera. Through the years and through my advancement and creative opportunities, I mastered camera upgrade after camera upgrade. Landing on a Canon SLR the AE-1. I held fast to good old fashion film, long after the digital age ragged on around me. I eventually stepped into the new digital age. Again starting with a simple point and shoot Sony, working my way up to more advanced dslr's. I currently shoot with two cameras; my main camera is my Canon 7D, and my backup is my Canon Rebel T2i. I will soon be upgrading to a Canon 70D since my Mark III is broken. I feel it's important to master the craft at the basic level before moving on. I took after one grandfather who was a wedding photographer and photojournalist in his military days.

Photographs can tell a thousand different stories of life's intricate moments and all the while be open to many interpretations. My photography is expressive, capturing those secret moments in life, I call them the between moments. These moments allow me to chase the light and enjoy evolving as a photographer. The best part of my job as your photographer is being able to capture images that are full of life, character and are just as unique as you are. I feel that all photography needs to tell a story, needs to evoke emotion from the viewer. It's the between moments that allow me to capture the emotions that take your breath away, bring a tear to your eye, make you giggle, or simply laugh when you think no one is looking.

I still shoot in film, develop and process my own photos through my wet lab, however I increasingly use my digital gear and process my own photos through the digital lab I have set up, which is Lightroom 4 and CS Photoshop 5.5. I believe in continuing education, so I keep up with the latest innovations, techniques, and equipment.

I photograph everything from models, portraiture, large commercial clients, small business clients, families, children, musicians, senior portraits, group/sports portraits, events such as; weddings, events for organizations like MADD, and RELAY for LIFE, and so much more. I'm dedicated to going the extra mile each and every time for each and every client. I aim to please, so I will continue to shoot until we get the desired photo outcome. As a Mom I have an understanding of the importance of having a high quality family portrait that will last a lifetime without breaking the bank.

I love photojournalism and aspire to great photographs such as V/D Day kiss, and the Migrant Mother, as well as Napalm Girl.
